The princess cut is only around 50 years old. It’s a square or rectangular pyramid with beveled edges and 58 facets. It is considered to be s brilliant as the more traditional round brilliant cut hence the reason why it is also called the square brilliant cut. It is placed flat side out with the point of the pyramid towards the center of the ring.
