Unique Heart Shaped Engagement Rings
The heart shape itself is considered too cliché by some. After all, the heart is the traditional symbol of enduring love.
But we have found that when it comes to weddings many couples are still very traditional. The unity is still very commonly used though it has been around a long time. And the love passage from I Corinthians 13 is still being used in many wedding ceremonies. So it is not surprising that many brides and grooms do take a look at heart shaped engagement ring.
At the same time, people are looking for some difference too. They are unique individuals and want to reflect that in their wedding choices.
Here is one thought to consider at the start. The heart shape is unique in the sense that the diamond shape itself is so very common. So while the heart symbol is thought to be too common by some, when it comes to your ring, the heart shape could be seen as the unique ring.
Still if you are selecting this ring, you may wonder about how to make it even more unique. Some fear that the heart shape by itself could look like a friendship ring rather than an engagement ring!
Adding uniqueness to the ring can be accomplished in part by choosing from the various settings that are available.
Here are few ideas of how to do that.
What about a three stone engagement ring? One stone symbolizes the past, the second stone the present and the third stone the couple’s future together. Very romantic I’d say!
Or, while you would want to keep the heart shaped diamond the center of attention, you could add accent stones around the main stone. This could make for a very pretty ring.
A third possibility is to look into the Art Deco ring designs. These type of rings are getting some attention due to their unique shapes and styles as well as the fact that the Art Deco period is one where the heart was the typical symbol for romance.
One note. If you have long and slender fingers, the heart shaped engagement ring may not be the best choice for you. It does tend to larger than some of the other stones and shapes so that you may feel it is too much for your hand.
